Bitters are Back

Sunday January 8, 2006
The beginning of the cocktail era employed bitters in almost every drink and they have become a thing of the past until recently. Angostura and orange bitters are the most common bitters used in cocktail recipes and are key to a making a good Rob Roy or Manhattan. The lack of popularity for nearly three decades has taken bitters off the shelves of many liquor stores but they are coming back. You may have to hunt for a good (or any) bottle of bitters, but they are out there. Read more about bitters and find brands to keep an eye out for.
