Cinco de Mayo
Monday May 1, 2006
Friday will bring us another Cinco de Mayo, so get out the tequila and mix up some Margaritas and Sangritas to celebrate. Cinco de Mayo is a Mexican national holiday that celebrates an underdog victory over the French in 1862. The parties take place every May 5th with fiestas, dancing, parades and a lot of drinking. Leave yourself enough energy at the end of the night for the traditional shout out: "Viva Mexico! Viva Juárez!"
