For the Manly Man

Father's Day is just around the corner (Sunday the 18th) and it's time to give Dad the royal treatment. Take him out for a round of golf or a day fishing on the lake followed by a relaxing steak dinner and a stiff drink. Unless your father has a favorite cocktail that will never dissapoint him, you may be trying to think of a great MANLY drink that you can serve him. When most of us think of masculine spirits we tend to think of the darker whiskies and brandies, and while a Scotch on the rocks or whiskey and Coke will do the trick, there are many great cocktails that both fill the need for the men of our lives and are still enjoyable in the heat of the season. A Rusty Nail, Rob Roy and Sazerac are great whiskey cocktails for this time of year while a Sidecar, B&B and Metropolitan will fit the brandy lover's tastes. And of course, you can never go wrong with a good, old-fashioned Martini after a day on the links.
