A Lazy Shaker

I don't know if everyone else is like me (well, likely you are if you like fine cocktails) but I really enjoy the process of shaking cocktails, it is a part of the art. To get the perfect shake, to frost the shaker until you can't hold it anymore, to pour the perfect froth is essential to the drink making experience. So when I came across this gadget I was a little flabbergasted. Why would someone want a machine to shake (or stir) your drinks for you? That's what the Waring Professional Martini Maker does. Not only does this take the fun out of mixing, but it's one more meaningless appliance to take up counter space and it seems like it may be more hassle to set up than my handy, everyday Boston shaker. I haven't had the "pleasure" of trying it out myself, so I'm curious as to how well it does in comparison to a manual shaker. For now I'm going to keep putting a little muscle into my drinks.
