A "Charming" Movie Type of Weekend

I'm not going to make it, but I have to wish the always charming, Miss Cheryl Charming, the best on her upcoming Cocktail Film Fest. If you will be or have the means to make it, this new event sponsored by Tales of the Cocktail should be a great one. During the two nights Miss Charming will feature cocktails chosen specifically for each of the classic Hollywood films at the W New Orleans Hotel. Movies and cocktails scheduled for the weekend's line-up are Casablanca (a drinker's classic) with French 75's and Champagne Cocktails, The Seven Year Itch complete with Tom Collins', Whiskey Sours and (a personal favorite) the Gin & Tonic and, to cap it all off, Guys and Dolls "garnished" with Mojitos, Cuba Libres and a Milk Punch. It's a must-experience event, hopefully the first of many collaborations between Charming and TOC, and tickets are on sale now with a hotel rate at the W for overnight stays, so you will want to check out this event ASAP.
