Absolut Los Angeles Premiere

The big news in the liquor industry this week and last is the release of Absolut Los Angeles, a vodka inspired by the city's influence on fitness, all-natural flavors and the health conscious attitude of Hollywood. After 2007's impressive Absolut New Orleans it was hard to believe that the next "city vodka" produced by the company could top it, and although I like NOLA better, LA is now second in my favorite Absolut flavor.

The infusion in the new release is a combination of blueberry, acai berry, acerola cherry and pomegranate and it is a great base for many fruit cocktails. I'm not speaking of the overly sweet Appletinis, but a fruit drink of light mixers that allow the vodka's flavors to shine. Perfectly refreshing for summer, cocktails like my LAX and Absolut's Trainer Approved and Sunset Strip.

Soooo delicious mixed in a glass full to the rim with ice, pour 1/4 to 1/3 full of the glass (depending on your taste) of Absolut L.A., then fill the rest of the glass with Sprite or 7-Up. Easily the most refreshing alcoholic summer beverage ever.
7-up was great, tonic too with a splash of lemon.
