A Dream Come True - Wine Instead of Tap Water

Imagine turning on your taps and instead of water a sparkling white wine flows from your kitchen faucet. Sounds to good to be true, right? Well this dream came true in one Italian town during the annual Sagra dell'Uva (Grape Festival) this week.

The town of Marino, Italy holds one of the oldest and largest grape festivals in the country each year and one of the highlights comes when the city's fountains flow with wine. This year, however, a plumbing error routed that wine into the homes of about a dozen lucky locals and a bar that surround the town square. The problem was quickly rectified and the "tap wine" only lasted for a few minutes, but I can only imagine the surprise and joy those lucky homeowners felt. Read the full story on the BBC website.
