Tuesday's Timeless Tipple: Weep No More

Tuesday January 6, 2009
Today's Timeless Tipple is a hidden gem and a fine, although mostly forgotten, libation and one that truly deserves rediscovery. This little find is called the Weep No More and even though the name likely has an interesting story which is now lost to time, this cocktail is divine.

The Weep No More is a variation of the better known Napoleon in which brandy replaces the gin and maraschino the Grand Marnier, but that other gem, Dubonnet Rouge, remains. The finished cocktail is a beautiful and rich mix where you don't have to be scared of showing off your favorite brandy.

I also want to thank DM Grafton for bringing this cocktail to my attention. You can read his thoughts on it on the recipe's page.
