There's a touch of green here and there, a bit of gold on occasion and a whole lot of Irish whiskey. Yes, it once again that time of year to talk about cocktails for St. Patrick's Day. I have added a few new favorites to my list of lucky libations and one of my favorites, which I recently
rediscovered, is the Leprechaun. The simplicity of Irish whiskey and tonic water is appealing and allows the whiskey to shine and its mirrored in the Jameson and Ginger.
There are countless of green drinks too. The Everybody's Irish and Irish Eyes use creme de menthe for the pale jade hue and there's an interesting kiwi and melon liqueur drink called the Ugly Leprechaun on The Intoxologist Is In. Another intriguing cocktail I just found on The Santa Fe Barman and have yet to try is the Paddy's Good Thymes, which pairs Jameson with fresh thyme.

The Irish Gold cocktail recipe looks very doable combining acid sweet/tart of orange against the sweet peach and then adding in the Irish whiskey. I could just go for that! Thanks for the heads up on all these Colleen! Always a pleasure.
