Earlier this month Absolut released a new flavor to their vodka line. This time it is Mango and its the first tropical fruit flavor they're producing. The Mango is nice, it has a natural flavor and Absolut's signature smoothness and word is that it has been a hit in South America for some time.

Absolut Mango Vodka

It is in cocktails that Absolut Mango is at its best. I tried it in place of citrus vodka in a Campari Cosmo and for clear vodka in a Firefly and found the mango gave both a subtle, tropical back. In two of the cocktails from Absolut Mango's launch it was outstanding despite the drinks being completely different from one another. In the Sage Lady the mango plays off a soothing combination of sage and cucumber for a soft, yet complex flavor. For those that like the spicier side, the Absolut Mango Spice is delicious with the perfect balance of fruit and hot peppers.

Mango Absolut sounds good. Is there a mango shnapps to make a mango-tini with?

I guess we could use a peach shnapps.

Hiram Walker makes a Mango Schnapps.

Another option that is semi-sweet is to use Absolut Mango with simple syrup and maybe lime and dry vermouth. That’s untested, but sounds like a possibility.
