If you entertain often and like to have friends over for a nice dinner every now and then you know the trials of deciding what drinks to serve that will compliment the meal. We often take the easy way out and offer a bottle of red or white wine, calling it good. While that is a great option, it's also a safe one because as long as you follow the basic wine pairing "rules" you really cannot go wrong, but have you thought of adding cocktails to your dinners to spice things up?
To begin stepping into the cocktail and food pairing realm I have collected some examples and advice from Melkon Khosrovian and Litty Mathew of Modern Spirits. The couple have taken pairings to the extreme and actually built 3 spirit lines (organic, of course) out of their love for food and drink.
