1. Food

I've been very impressed by the drinks that mixologists have been creating for this fall season. They seem to have an extra touch of creativity and ingenuity that I haven't seen for this season in quite a few years. Apple, cinnamon, nutmeg, cranberry, maple, pumpkin, all those flavors we associate with autumn are coming to life in new and interesting ways. While the cocktails are great, I have been especially delighted with some of the new punches and these are ideal for any harvest party or Halloween bash you may be hosting in the coming weeks.

  • Halloween Harvest Punch - Take some rum and Midori with white cranberry and apple juices, mix it all up and you have glowing green goodness in a punch bowl.
  • Fall into Navan Punch - The name gives it away if you know your liqueurs, but this punch has a vanilla and spiced rum base with apple and ginger juices and a touch of maple syrup. Simply delightful.
  • Jack-o-Lantern Punch - Flor De Caņa is an excellent rum for punch and in this simple mix it goes with apple juice and soda. The spices make it something special, however, with nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon and nothing other than toasted pumpkin seeds. It deserves a hollowed pumpkin punch bowl.

You can also take a look at the fall cocktails and convert almost any of them into a party punch - read how.
