Today, I have three new, very interesting Halloween cocktails to share that come to us from a group of New York City bars. You can make these up at home or stop by the Stone Rose Lounge, Lilium, Whiskey Blue, Whiskey Park, or Living Room (venue info here) to have one of the talented bartenders mix one up for you.
- Jack-O-Lantern - It is a rarity, but this Jack-O-Lantern recipe actually includes Jack Daniel's and in it the Tennessee whiskey is paired with muddled mint and orange. However, the gem of the cocktail that adds both visual appeal and balances the interesting taste is a touch of Chambord that slowly rises into the rest of the drink, giving it a dark, eery look.
- The Peaches and Scream - If you are looking for a rich, thick, flavor-filled drink for the season, this is a good candidate. It is a mix of bourbon, peach, apple butter, cinnamon, and cream and is not for the faint of heart.
- Pumpkin Patch - As much as I love a good pumpkin cocktail, I tend to prefer those that are light on the pumpkin and this one is it. It actually just uses the spices found in pumpkin pie and the other ingredients, which include tequila, apple cider, and egg white, do a fair job of backing up the sweetened spice. It is a pumpkin without the pumpkin and I think many of you will like it for that reason.
