A Bloody Good Time

By October 27, 2012

Follow me on:

I realize that many Halloween parties are happening this evening (because Saturday is far more convenient than Wednesday) so I thought we'd cap off the holiday with one last, very good drink that is aptly named A Bloody Good Time.

In truth, this one can be used any day no matter the occasion and it lacks the creepy visual aspect we often look for - though adding one of these garnishes would help in that respect. It is, simply, a fine drink to sip on and the complexity of flavor is like a tango for the taste buds.

A Bloody Good Time comes to us from Disaronno and includes Cazadores Anejo Tequila (both reliable favorites). The 'blood' used is blood orange juice, and the muddled ginger adds a refreshing snap. Also, to be a responsible party host, this is an ideal drink to serve without the liquor as a mocktail for your designated drivers and non-drinking guests.
