Doomsday Drink: Survival Punch

Let's take a break from all of the holiday cheer for a minute and talk about the other big day of the week. Okay, I really don't want to talk about doomsday or have a debate about whether December 21st will be the cataclysmic end of the world as we know it. Instead, I want to share a drink because if it is the end, we might as well enjoy what time we have left.

One drink that is ideal for just such an occasion is  this  Survival Punch and it, along with  other doomsday cocktails, is being served at a number of Renaissance Hotels across the U.S. this week. This one is a classically styled tiki-esque punch, but it uses Death's Door White Whiskey instead of rum and piles on a load of fruits, with falernum and bitters to add interest. It's a great punch and if things work out for the better come Friday it can be used for almost any occasion.

As it reads, this punch is made for two and is bottled for easy storage in your bug out bag. With any luck (and logic to back it up) we will have many more days ahead to share great drinks, but just in case, it's been fun and Cheers! to all!
