In the vein of the Coffee Cocktail, which contains no coffee, it is a poignant reminder of how different drinks were in that era. Today we may think of a drink with this name as being a cocoa-filled dessert drink like the Chocolate Martini or its many variations, but this is not the case. What the Chocolate Cocktail is is a mix of maraschino, blackberry, and Chartreuse liqueurs with egg yolk and it is actually quite tasty. It is another great classic cocktail that deserves a bit of attention.

Ingredients:
- 1 ounce maraschino liqueur
- 1 ounce blackberry liqueur
- 1 ounce Yellow Chartreuse liqueur
- 1 egg yolk
Preparation:
- Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker and dry shake (without ice) vigorously.
- Add ice and shake vigorously again.
- Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
