This is a great classic cocktail that is an excellent example of good marketing. In 1936 the New York Supreme Court ruled that an authentic Bacardi Cocktail had to be made with Bacardi Rum.
Sour mix is often used in bars instead of the lemon or lime juice, but fresh juice makes a far better drink, as does housemade grenadine.
