Glass Guide- Cocktail Glass

Originally an un-garnished cocktail from the 1930's, the Dubonnet Cocktail is now often served with a twist of lemon (sometimes an orange peel) but has fallen into obscurity in recent years. The Dubonnet Cocktail is said to be a favorite of Queen Elizabeth II, and her mother preferred it served on the rocks. This cocktail is also known as a Zaza.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 oz gin
  • 3/4 oz Dubonnet Rouge
  • lemon twist for garnish

Preparation:

  1. Pour the ingredients into a mixing glass with ice cubes.
  2. Stir well.
  3. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
  4. Garnish with the lemon twist.
