This Golden Dawn is a fruity Martini that mixes the flavors of apple, apricot and orange for one fantastic drink. In it gin is paired with two brandies, apricot and calvados, as opposed to the more traditional modifier, vermouth. Calvados itself is a special variety of brandy made of apples that originated in Normandy, France.
Ingredients:
- 3/4 oz gin
- 3/4 oz apricot brandy
- 3/4 oz calvados
- 3/4 oz orange juice
Preparation:
- Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
- Shake well.
- Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
