The Melon Patch is a favorite spring brunch cocktail because it is light, refreshing and full of flavor, excellent with a fresh fruit salad. For the melon-flavored liqueur, Midori is one of your best bets and pairs nicely with the lighter, fruitier vodkas. You can also add extra flavor by infusing your own vodka with fruit or choosing one of the many flavored vodkas on the market.
Ingredients:
- 1 oz melon liqueur
- 1/2 oz triple sec
- 2 oz vodka
- 4 oz club soda
- orange slice for garnish
Preparation:
- Pour the first three ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
- Shake well.
- Strain into a highball glass with ice cubes.
- Add the club soda.
- Garnish with the orange slice.
