Cocktail Glass

Glass Guide- Cocktail Glass

The Devil Cocktail may look harmless and inviting in the glass, but that's not a dusting of nutmeg on top of this brandy cocktail, that's cayenne pepper and that's where this cocktail gets its name. The combination of spirits is really nice as a dessert drink or comforting winter cocktail. Itis similar to the Stinger but it's that spicy bite of pepper aftertaste in the Devil that makes things a little more interesting. Although it is not for everyone, this is a decent drink, just beware not to over use the pepper - remember balance.

Ingredients:

Preparation:

  1. Pour the brandy and creme de menthe (white because the green variety produces an unappealing look for the drink) into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  2. Shake well.
  3. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
  4. Add a pinch of cayenne pepper on top.
  5. Serve with a water back just in case it gets too hot.
