If you replace the vodka of a Black Russian with brandy you have a totally different drink, called a Dirty Mother, or a Separator. Then, if you were to fill that glass with cream you would have a Dirty White Mother. They're all connected and very easy to remember. This brandy version is just as good, if not better than the original and is a great cold weather cocktail.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 oz brandy
- 3/4 oz coffee liqueur
Preparation:
- Build the ingredients in an old-fashioned glass with ice cubes.
- Stir well.
