Although it is best in fall with fresh apple cider, an Indian Summer is a wonderful cocktail for any chilly day. Apples and cinnamon are a classic marriage and this warm drink displays this union in its full glory.
It's also the perfect warm punch for gatherings and parties. Warm a gallon of apple cider in a large pot, add a bottle of apple brandy, some sugar and cinnamon and keep it warm on the stove for the entire day. Set out some coffee cups and a ladle and allow your guests to pour their own drinks whenever they want. It's simple, pleasing and takes the burden of mixing drinks off of you as a host.
