Cocktail Glass

Glass Guide- Cocktail Glass

I have to thank a reader for pointing out this forgotten favorite - and all the time it was in Just Cocktails, one of the most charming bartending books in my collection. The Weep-No-More hangs out in the "Favorite Sons" chapter which leads me to believe it was a local favorite somewhere, probably between 1900-1939. What it is is a classically designed cocktail of brandy and Dubonnet, which were two favorites of the time. Add a dash of maraschino and a bit of lime and I have to say you'll be "weeping no more."

Ingredients:

Preparation:

  1. Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  2. Shake well.
  3. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Like a Napolean Martini--great taste & nice change, Member DM_Grafton

If you like martinis and Dubonnet you will like this one. This is almost exactly like a Napoleon martini except it has Brandy instead of Gin. Great drink. I generally omit the maraschino liqueur since I like a stronger citrus taste.
