Chocolate is a flavor that can be found in almost any food and in many drinks. These chocolate cocktails are treats for your taste buds with some being more chocolaty than others. Below you will also find a handful of spiked chocolate foods and liquors that are used in the cocktails.

An interesting find, this classic called the Chocolate Cocktail, contains no chocolate.

Chocolate Cocktails:
These drinks include the chocolatiest of all chocolate cocktails, well some of them are. This list includes creamy chocolate martinis and bold combinations of chocolate with some very interesting flavors. For these drinks you will need chocolate in a liquid form and that may be a chocolate liqueur, an infused vodka (or other base spirit), hot chocolate or melted chocolate.

A Touch of Chocolate:
This group of cocktails are those that bring chocolate into a drink very subtly. They also show the power that chocolate has as a stunning garnish and this can range from a sprinkling of grated chocolate, a powered chocolate rim, chocolate-dipped fruit, and using chocolate as a glass decoration.

"Spiked" Chocolate Food Recipes:
This is just a sampling of foods that combine chocolate and a distilled spirit into (usually) baked goods.

Chocolate Distilled Spirits:
The list of cocktail ingredients and liquors is always changing but a few of these are staples. Creme de cacao is a essential to stock in the bar, as is Irish cream (but that is lightly chocolaty). Premium liqueurs like Godiva are excellent to have around as well and the infused vodkas and tequila and bitters are fun to play with as well.

This collection of cocktail recipes is an ongoing project and is updated regularly.
