Cement Mixer (shooter)

By Colleen Graham, About.com

Shot Glass

Glass Guide- Shot Glass

An interesting chemical reaction takes place in a shot glass when a Cement Mixer is made. As the shot sits, the Bailey’s and lime juice slowly mix together creating a thick slurry best compared to cottage cheese. Timing is important when drinking a Cement Mixer, you don’t want to wait too long or the mix will become too thick. Beyond that, it is not a good tasting mix, consider it more of a gag shot when you want to play a trick on someone.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 oz chilled Bailey’s Irish Cream liqueur
  • 1/2 oz fresh squeezed lime juice

Preparation:

  1. Pour the Bailey’s into a large shot glass.
  2. Slowly float the lime juice on top.
