Mixologist Allen Katz created this spectacular sake-based Martini that is ideal for spring and summer parties. I love it because it is a simple mix of flavors and light on the alcohol (Gekkeikan Sake is only 31.6 proof), making it perfect for brunch, showers, and any casual, yet elegant, occasion. The other aspect I enjoy about the Cherry Blossom Tini is that it, along with the Kyoto Sour and other sake cocktails, show exactly how versatile sake can be in cocktails and for those stuck in a warm sake mode, you will find these drinks refreshing beyond belief and a new appreciation for the spirit.
