Diamond Martini Recipe

The Diamond Martini is a wonderful (and very simple) variation of a Vodka Martini. The difference between the two is that in the Diamond the vodka is pre-chilled by placing it in the freezer. Don't worry, the liquor will not freeze. Also, be sure to use a frozen cocktail glass, taking it out of the freezer just before pouring the drink.

One other tip for this martini (and any martini for that matter) is to use the best spirits you can get. These cocktails rely solely on the liquor and without any fruits or other ingredients, there is no masking the taste of a low quality spirit.

Prep Time: 3 minutes

Total Time: 3 minutes

Yield: 1 Cocktail



  1. Chill a cocktail glass.
  2. Pour the dry vermouth and vodka into the glass.
  3. Twist the lemon over the drink.
  4. Run the lemon wedge around the rim of the glass and either drop it into the glass or discard it.

martini with punch, Member hlf45

I think the idea is ok. However I did not like it as much as the the good old Dry martini. shaken not stired with Bombay and vermouth swirled around in the glass then emptied , the gin should be chilled with a film of ice across the top. and garnish with an olive. This is a great martini and wil always be enjoyed by the person that truly loves a good martini. The Crown martini is also a good martini as is the amaretto martini.
