Deauville Cocktail

By Colleen Graham, About.com

Cocktail Glass

Glass Guide- Cocktail Glass

A classic since its creation in 1930 New Orleans, the Deauville Cocktail is a brandy-filled delight. Not only is the best brandy you want to mix with included, but the addition of either calvados or applejack adds to the fruit medley. Add triple sec and lemon to that and you have one great brandy sour with a fruit bouquet.

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 oz brandy
  • 3/4 oz applejack or calvados
  • 3/4 oz triple sec
  • 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice

Preparation:

  1. Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice.
  2. Shake well.
  3. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
