An English Rose is a delightful variation of the classic Martini. It's sweeter, using apricot brandy, grenadine and lemon for flavor but it is still a great before dinner drink. There are a few drinks like the Paradise, Thanksgiving Cocktail and La Habana that also pair gin with apricot brandy, which is a fantastic combination.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz gin
- 1 oz dry vermouth
- 1 oz apricot brandy
- 1/2 oz lemon juice
- 1 tsp grenadine
- maraschino cherry for garnish
Preparation:
- Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
- Shake well.
- Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
- Garnish with the maraschino cherry.
