I'm not sold on the olive called for in this recipe for a garnish, does that work well with crème de menthe? Then again maybe there's a specially stuffed olive that would make a difference. With an olive or not, Everybody's Irish at least while they are drinking this green cocktail, or say you can claim anyway. This id a very green cocktail, perfect for serving at St. Patrick's Day parties and you'll want to be sure to use the green varieties of both liqueurs to get that perfect shade.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Irish whiskey
- 1 Tbsp green crème de menthe
- 1 Tbsp Green Chartreuse
- cocktail olive for garnish
Preparation:
- Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
- Shake well.
- Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
- Garnish with the olive.
