The Idonis is a simple and sweetly pleasant cocktail. It pairs the transparent vodka with a lush apricot brandy and some pineapple for a taste of the tropics. This cocktail seems like it would be light and airy, but the pineapple juice makes a difference. Pineapple, when shaken, takes on a foamy quality and that texture takes over everything else in the drink. That isn't at all bad and is what makes the juice a great mixer because you know it can add a feeling other mixers can't. If you don't like that "pineapple cream" feel free to stir this drink, but do so well enough to insure a properly mixed drink.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz vodka
- 1/2 oz apricot brandy
- 1 oz pineapple juice
Preparation:
- Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
- Shake well.
- Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
