The idea of this Martini is to drink straight, chilled gin in a well-chilled glass with a hint of dry vermouth. It is one of the ways that those who like their Martinis "bone dry" to get away with using as little vermouth as possible. I do suggest, as with any of the dry gin Martinis, that you choose a premium gin because it will show if a lower quality gin is used.

Prep Time: 3 minutes

  1. Pack a cocktail glass with ice.
  2. Add a splash of dry vermouth.
  3. While the glass is chilling, pour the gin in a mixing glass with ice and stir.

  5. Strain the gin into the prepared cocktail glass.
