Apricot brandy lovers will find great delight in La Habana, a distant cousin of the Martini. It is a fantastic array of flavors, one that I like best with a classic London dry gin. But whatever you choose for spirits here, fresh lime juice is key and since you already need a lime for garnishing there is no excuse not to go fresh.
Ingredients:
- 1 oz gin
- 1 oz apricot brandy
- juice of half a lime
- lime wedge for garnish
Preparation:
- Pour the gin and apricot brandy into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Add a few drops of lime juice.
- Shake well.
- Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
- Garnish with a lime wedge.
