Ginger is said to lighten the spirit and invite warm feelings into the body and that is evident in this warm cocktail. To warm the body and spirit, ginger is paired with hot espresso in an Orient Express and is a great pick me up for the drearier days of winter. Finding a good ginger liqueur can be difficult; look for Canton Ginger Liqueur or GE Massenez Crème de Gingebre. If those are unavailable to you substitute a ginger infused vodka or brandy, both add their own divine qualities to the drink.

- 1 tsp sugar
