There is a rather interesting twist on flavor in the Oriental Passion cocktail and it is one that you have to try to believe. One of the newer gins is paired with both a lemon liqueur and passion fruit nectar, so it is quite sweet. Depending on the sweetness of your nectar, you could even skip the syrup all together. Either way you will find the Oriental Passion is a delightful cocktail and perfect for Valentine's Day.
Ingredients:
- 3/4 oz Averna Limoni
- 1 1/2 oz Death's Door Gin
- 1 1/2 oz Passion Fruit Nectar
- 1 dash simple syrup
- 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
- orange twist for garnish
Preparation:
- Combine all ingredients in a shaker.
- Shake well.
- Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
- Top with bitters.
