Highball Glass

Glass Guide- Highball Glass

Choose your favorite whiskey, add Pernod, Angostura bitters and dry vermouth to make a great Yashmak. Your homemade sugar syrup will add some sweetness to this cocktail that can be served either shaken or blended.


  • 2 ounces whiskey
  • 3/4 ounce dry vermouth
  • 1/2 ounce Pernod
  • several dashes of Angostura bitters
  • sugar syrup to taste


  1. Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice.
  2. Shake well.
  3. Strain into a chilled highball glass filled with ice or a cocktail glass with no ice.

Optional: Blend the ingredients with 3/4 cup of ice until smooth.
