The Z Street Slammer uses Meyer's rum, a distinct rum from Jamaica that is not really appealing on it's own but is wonderful in mixed drinks. In this great tropical cocktail, the rum is accented with banana, pineapple and pomegranate flavors. For the best Z Street Slammer, try to use as fresh of pineapple juice as you can get and take a little time to make your own grenadine - it's worth it.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/4 oz Meyer's Rum
- 3/4 oz banana liqueur
- 3/4 oz pineapple juice
- 1/4 oz grenadine
Preparation:
- Pour the Meyer's rum, banana liqueur, pineapple juice and grenadine into a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Shake well.
- Strain into an old-fashioned glass.
