How to Cut Orange Garnishes

An easy way to further dress up orange slices is to create fun cartwheels.

  1. Before cutting the orange into slices, cut notches lengthwise using a zesting tool.
  2. Hold the fruit in one hand and pull the zesting tool from one end to the other, cutting a notch in the skin of the orange.
  3. Continue to cut lengthwise notches from the rest of the orange with approximately 1/4 inch spacing.
