Brotherly Love

From Phillip Pinsley of Le Colonial for Bluecoat Gin, for About.com

Irish Coffee Glass

Glass Guide- Irish Coffee Glass

I love hot cocktails and the way in which gin is transformed into an aromatic delight under heat is nothing short of delightful. This wonderful transformation is the highlight of Phillip Pinsley's (of Le Colonial) Brotherly Love. However, unlike the simple Gin Toddy, the warmth in this drink is from steaming milk and the addition of the complex Licor 43 and a sprinkle of nutmeg makes it a calming wintertime drink.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 oz Bluecoat Gin
  • 3/4 oz Licor 43
  • 3/4 oz simple syrup
  • 4 oz steamed milk
  • nutmeg for garnish

Preparation:

  1. Pour the gin, Licor 43 and simple syrup into an Irish coffee glass, mug or other heat-resistant glass.
  2. Stir well.
  3. Add steamed milk.
  4. Garnish with nutmeg.
