My love for the Hot Toddy and appreciation for the combination of gin and creme de cassis led me to this wonderfully delightful warm drink. The botanicals of the gin play against the sweet currant of cassis and the lemon juice chills everything out. Another option for this drink is to substitute the simple syrup for agave nectar, which adds a warmer sweetness.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz gin
- 1/2 oz creme de cassis
- dash of simple syrup
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- hot water
Preparation:
- In an Irish coffee glass pour the liquors, syrup and lemon.
- Top with hot water.
- Stir.
