The Tuxedo is a great Martini for a chic black tie affair. It's very similar to the Imperial, with a little anis liqueur added. You can use anisette rather than the anis liqueur, however the former is much sweeter than the later which may be too much in combination with the maraschino liqueur.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 oz dry vermouth
- 1 1/2 oz gin
- 1/4 tsp maraschino liqueur
- 1/4 tsp anis liqueur
- 2 dashes bitters
- maraschino cherry for garnish
Preparation:
- Pour all ingredients in a mixing glass filled with ice.
- Stir.
- Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
- Garnish with a maraschino cherry.
