The labels, which retain the original design of Marge Samuels first bottle are applied to the filled bottles on the assembly line. According to Bill Samuels Jr. his mother came to the family's dinner table one evening with the bottle she designed to show his father. Her first hand-torn label was adorned with Mrs. Samuels' own handwriting and is still the typeset used today. The label gives the bottles a look of distinction and continues to convey the feeling of a homemade product even though the process has been modernized.
