Mardi Gras Cocktails

Serve a taste of the Big Easy at your Mardi Gras celebration

Mardi Gras starts soon and this year looks to be the biggest and best celebration yet in New Orleans. Fresh off a Saints Super Bowl win, residents of New Orleans may have started the party early, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t join them at home with some easy to make cocktails of your own. Southern Comfort was born in New Orleans in 1874 and is the perfect choice for your Mardi Gras celebrations. Created in the French Quarter by a bartender named M.W. Heron, Southern Comfort has been an iconic part of Mardi Gras celebrations throughout history. While Southern Comfort, cola and a lime squeeze is a great way to enjoy SoCo, here are a couple of easy Mardi Gras themed cocktails that will have your guests shouting, “laissez les bon temps rouler!”

What says Bourbon Street more than the classic Hurricane? Updated with Southern Comfort, this version of the Hurricane is a guaranteed crowd pleaser.
