The perfectly flavored drink sweetner, this sugar syrup has the pure flavor of real vanilla beans. This Vanilla Simple Syrup can be mixed to create some fantastic cocktails and was made specifically for Woodford Reserve's Champagne Cocktail, though it can be used in many other drinks such as The Spice Trade.
This recipe makes 1 cup of simple syrup and can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2 vanilla beans
Preparation:
- Bring the sugar and water to a boil in a saucepan.
- Split the vanilla beans lengthwise into halves and place in a heatproof jar or bottle.
- Pour the hot syrup over the vanilla beans and let stand for 8 to 10 hours.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to one week.
