This Sherbert Punch is one of my favorites of all time that my mother would make for parties. Sometimes it is called a Wedding Punch as well, because it has an elegant green hue and a taste that is a definite non-alcoholic crowd pleaser. My favorite aspect of this is that it brings together lime sherbert and the ginger ale makes the punch bubble for a nice effect. If you like, add green food coloring to enhance the color and be sure to have ice on hand for refills (blocks work great, but ice rings are a nice touch).
Serves 50
Ingredients:
- 1 quart lime sherbert
- 2- 6 oz cans frozen lime juice concentrate
- 2- 6 oz cans frozen lemon juice concentrate
- 6 juice can of water
- 4 quarts ginger ale, chilled
- green food coloring (optional)
Preparation:
- Soften sherbet in fruit juices and water.
- Add ginger ale just before serving.
- Pour over large block of ice in punch bowl.
- Punch will bubble during early part of serving.
