I created the Twilight Dove when asked to recommend drinks for a group of teenage girls' "Twilight" movie party when New Moon was released on DVD. This purple drink seems perfect because it has the dark hue that mimics the tone of the movie and the name of the drink symbolizes both the love story of the movie and the innocence of the drink. Plus, the flavor ended up being appealing to my young audience - sort of a play off the Grape Nehi.
If you cannot find lavender soda (DRY makes a great one) ginger ale will work, but I encourage you to keep an eye out for the soda because it makes a world of difference.

Ingredients:
- 1 oz cranberry juice
- 3 oz grape juice
- 1 tsp agave nectar
- Lavender soda
Preparation:
- Pour the juices and nectar into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Shake well.
- Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
- Top with lavender soda.
