This second list of drinks is very similar to the
highballs in that most only have 1 or 2 spirits or
mixers and are served on the rocks. Drinks of this style are often called lowballs because they are short (small volume) and are served in a lowball, or
old-fashioned, glass. Some of these drinks are preferred "up" in a
cocktail glass or
shaken, depending on the preferences of your customer. You'll also notice that many of these cocktails use cream and are slight variations of the White Russian, making them easy to remember.
