Stephanie Sanders, the corporate mixologist for Ninethirty and The Backyard Restaurants at W Los Angeles created this drink to celebrate spring at both restaurants in 2012. It is a fun and flavorful variation on the always popular Daiquiri and has an interesting twist or two.
The two non-standard Daiquiri ingredients are cranberry and tarragon. One brings a refreshing sweetness to the sometimes tart drink mix and the other adds a little spice to shake up the taste buds. You can also use this drink as an inspiration for other Daiquiri mix-ups... think grapefruit juice and rosemary, pomegranate juice and ginger, or pineapple juice and basil.
