Created by Zacapa Brand Ambasador Tekla Israelson, Las Fresas is an easy way to enjoy one of the best fruits of the summer season. A fresh strawberry puree is the spotlight of this cocktail and very easy to make. Simply hull and slice some strawberries, place them in your blender or food processor and blend it until smooth. You only need 1 ounce of the puree per drink, but it can be stored for a few days if necessary.
In the drink the strawberry is the perfect accent for a fine solera rum from Zacapa. This particular bottling is a blend of rums that have been aged up to 23 years. Though a portion of the blend is younger, the rum maintains a lovely aged quality that makes it a fantastic cocktail mixer.

Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 oz Zacapa 23 year old Solera Rum
- 3/4 oz lime juice
- 1/2 oz simple syrup
- 1 oz fresh strawberry puree
Preparation:
- Combine Zacapa Rum 23, lime juice, simple syrup, and strawberry puree into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Shake well and strain into a highball glass.
